Roslyn Pincus
Roslyn Brooks Pincus (née Slutsky) passed away peacefully on March 1, 2024. Roslyn was a loving daughter (the late Abe Slutsky and Bessie Brownstein), wife (the late Milton Pincus) and sister-in-law (Norman Pincus and the late Esther Pincus), and afterwards long-term partner (Dave Zinman). She was a wonderful mother (Saul Pincus), mother in-law (Alison MacAlpine), grandmother (Keira Pincus), and aunt (Marvin Pincus and Heliane Covin), and a deeply cherished family member and friend to so many others.
Roslyn was at the heart of her community, forming strong bonds with everyone around her, and inspiring loyalty from people who knew her even for a short time. She will be remembered for her kind, calm, generous presence, her steady optimism through adversity, and her passion for fashion and dining out. She will be missed by all who were lucky enough to cross paths with her.
Special thanks to her compassionate caregivers Eleni, Rukssana and Meseret, and to the Montreal General Hospital Emergency Room and 13th-floor Short Stay Unit team who kept her comfortable over the past few weeks.
A graveside service will be held at noon on Monday, March 4, 2024, at Kehal Israel Memorial Park (4189 Sources Blvd., Dollard-Des-Ormeaux, Quebec). Contributions in Roslyn’s memory may be made to B’nai Brith Canada (www.bnaibrith.ca) or Parkinson Canada (www.parkinson.ca).
