With sadness we announce the passing of Paul Gibson on Friday, February 23, 2024 at St. Joseph’s Healthcare at the age of 78. Beloved husband of Gloria. Father of Derek Gibson. Step Father to Ryan Hagan (Kristal). Cherished Grandfather to Noah, Leah, Carter, Kara and Nash. Dear brother of Lynda Gibson Weaver, Gregory Gibson and Steven Gibson. Paul will also be missed by his many nieces and nephews. Paul was a avid golfer and was a member at Flamboro Hills for 25 years. He was Club Champion and also had a hole in one. Paul was also a 10-pin bowler, bowling at Skyway Lanes when it opened in 1955. He was a high average in the city of Hamilton, bowling three perfect games (300) in his bowling career. He was still bowling up until November of 2023, until he took sick. Paul loved to walk the Hamilton Beach every chance he got. He was born on the beach and loved it there.
A Celebration of Paul’s life will be held at Pebbles on the Sand Statues (on the Hamilton Beach Strip, just off the Waterfront Trail near the Go-Karts) on Saturday, June 15, 2024 at 1 p.m. until 3 p.m.
If desired, donations in memory of Paul may be made to Alzheimer Society.
