Allan’s Obituary
DOUCETTE, Allan – age 35 of Sluice Point, passed away on Saturday, February 24th, 2024 in Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born June 10, 1988, he was the son of Pierre and Gwen (Doucette) Doucette.
He leaves behind his loving wife Colette and daughters Hailey, Jackie and Fallon; sister, Sandra (Matthew Muise); nephew, Braden; as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Allan worked at various fish plants, then worked as a cook at Wendy’s restaurant and a cook at McDonald’s restaurant until he could no longer and was placed on C.P.P. disability for his severe illness. He was a volunteer firefighter for the Amirault’s Hill and Hubbard’s Point volunteer fire department in which he took great pride to be in. He would go to every call out needed, no matter what time it was or how bad the weather was outside. Allan was a very good cook and made many delicious meals as well as delightful desserts. He loved to go shopping, Walmart and Dollarama were his favorite stores. He loved driving and going for car rides. He loved to go deer hunting and preparing deer meat with his very good friend, Robert Amirault. Allan was like a “Jack of all trades”; he knew and could do just about anything. He had a heart of gold and would do anything to help anyone, even if he wasn’t feeling well, he would still go and help. Allan had a hard time saying “No” but eventually he had to learn to say it. He loved to laugh and had a wonderful sense of humor. His great big smile illuminated the whole room. He loved his wife and children dearly and did anything and everything for them, as well as his parents, family and friends. Allan was very well liked and loved by all who knew him. His love and light will continue to shine, a brilliant radiance for all time. He was more than a husband, father and friend, he was a hero and hero’s have no end.
