The sudden passing of Harold Stephan Lear, husband of Yeon Hee Jeong of Mount Hope , NB , occurred on Tuesday, February 20, 2024 at his home. Born on January 30, 1965 in Chatham , NB , he was the son of Mildred Cain-Oliphant and the late George Lear. Harold served in the US Army and spent time in South Korea before returning to New Brunswick to live.
In addition to his mother and loving wife, Harold is survived by his children, Ellen, Matthew, Lindsay, Stephan, Morgan and Emily; sisters, Crystal Lear and Leighann Halliday; several nieces and nephews; and his close friend / chosen brother, Brian Best.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of York Funeral Home. There will be no public services at this time. Remembrances can be made to a charity of the donor’s choice. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
