Jean died in Peterborough on January 31.
Born in Kemptville, Ontario, Jean was the youngest child of Thomas and Harriett (Mills) Robinson.
Jean was a primary teacher with the former Kingston and Frontenac Boards of Education
and a longtime parishioner of St. George’s Cathedral. She relocated to St. John’s Centre in
Peterborough in 2015 and moved to Princess Gardens Retirement Residence in 2021.
Jean was predeceased by her brothers Albert (Jean) and Rt. Rev. William (Isobel), and
sisters Mary, Evelyn and Ruth, and nephew Stewart.
She is survived by her nephews Bill (Marilynn) of New Jersey, Peter (Judy) of Toronto,
Tom (Ellen) of Peterborough and nieces Nancy Stefanyk (Tom) of Collingwood,
Elizabeth Veninga (David Hinks) of Almonte, Margaret McKay (Malcolm) of Calgary and their
families.
A memorial service will be held at the Cathedral Church of St. George’s, 270 King Street
East, Kingston ON, on Saturday, March 2, 2024 at 11 a.m. with interment at
St. James Anglican Church Cemetery in Kemptville at a later date.
In memory of Jean, donations made to St. George’s Cathedral or the Kingston Kiwanis Music
Festival or to a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
