In Loving Memory
Mr. Joe Friedrich of Delhi, passed away surrounded by family at his home on Sunday, February 11, 2024 in his 74th year. Joe spent his teenage years working in the tobacco fields of Norfolk. However, his true passion always lay in hockey. He could be found on the ice at any time of day, and he devoted most of his life to the sport. He started playing when he was only 8 years old and continued until his late 60s. Joe was known as the “car guy” among his family and friends. He proudly ran Friedrich Motors for more than 40 years and was well-versed in all aspects of cars and car parts. Thanks to his business, he was a significant contributor to the community, always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need. He always loved music and would turn up his favorite tunes on the radio or attend live concerts. Beloved husband of Claudia (Hernandez) Friedrich. Loving father of Tanya Cullimore (Jassen), Martin Friedrich, Sabrina Friedrich (Urszula), Alejandro Hernandez and Sebastian Martinez (Isabella). Cherished grandfather of Alivia, Violette and Lyla. A Memorial Mass will be held at Our Lady, Queen of Martyrs Roman Catholic Church, Delhi on Thursday, February 22, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. Memorial Donations to the Tillsonburg Oldtimers Hockey can be made at the MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, Delhi (519) 582-1290 (www.mfh.care) and will be gratefully appreciated by the family.
