Obituary For Sheldon Andrew Tucker
August 31, 1971 – January 28, 2024
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Sheldon Tucker. Sheldon was a loving father, brother, son, and friend to many. May he rest in peace.
Sheldon was born in Miramichi, NB, to the late Madeline (Furlong) and Clayton Tucker of Renous, NB.He was born into a large family and loved his many sisters and brothers dearly. Sheldon moved to Grande Prairie over 20 years ago, and in that time has graced the lives of countless people in the community. He brought with him his children Codi and Janessa, and their mother Tanya. Sheldon left behind a big family back home in New Brunswick, but gained even more family in Alberta.
Sheldon is remembered by his two children, Codi, and Janessa (Jesse), and their two boys Ezra and Silas, who were Sheldon’s pride and joy. Sheldon also leaves behind the mother of his children Tanya Black, formerly of Miramichi, NB. Sheldon’s also leaves behind his sisters Caroline, Karen (Ray), Lorraine, Patricia, Debbie, Diane (Grant), Clara (Brian), Jacqueline (Kazuko), and Tasha (Stephen), as well as his brother Keith (Deanne), Perry (Angie), and Tony (Josée).
A special mention to his godparents Wilma and Percy (who has since passed) Sturgeon. Your caring towards Sheldon was so appreciated.
Sheldon was predeceased by two brothers, Kevin, and Patrick (also known as Pat), his maternal grandparents Inez and Benedict Furlong, and his paternal grandparents Agatha and Willard Tucker.
The family would like to thank all those who have been reaching out and helping in so many ways. Your visits, calls, food, and gestures of caring have been so appreciated. Thank you all for your kind words and condolences. In the past 10 months, our family has lost five family members- Sheldon and Patrick Tucker who were our sons, brothers, and fathers, Norman and Reginald Tucker who were our uncles and sons, and our Aunt Verly Haugh.
Tomorrow is not guaranteed, treasure each day.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 17th, at 3:00 pm at Bear Creek Funeral Home, 11802 99 Ave., Grande Prairie, AB., T8W 0C7.
