Martin (Marty) Kalvin Marks passed away on Thursday February 8, 2024 at home in his 73rd year. Loving husband of Bryanne Taylor and father to Keelan. The family is deeply saddened by his sudden passing.
Marty moved to Parry Sound and opened the Outback restaurant before deciding to make The Home & Cottage Chef his career. Many wedding and private party friends will remember his love of cooking the delicious food he served. He will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humour, his gift of giving helpful advice and insight when and where it was needed, and his love of life. He had a special place in his heart for his grand-dog Sarge and his cat BB.
Thanks to all the wonderful PSWs who visited and cared for Marty every day. He looked forward to talking and joking with you. Thanks also to Doctors Honsinger and Knight for their special attention to Marty. A special thank you to Tim Tebo for all the help you gave Marty and for the visits that he very much looked forward to. You were a special friend.
Marty is survived by his daughters Ruth and Rachel, his sons Isaac and Aaron, his granddaughter Kyela, and his brothers Randy (Jenny) and Jerry (Diane).
As per Marty’s wishes, no funeral will be held.
Donations to the OSPCA or the Parry Sound Food Bank on behalf of Marty would be appreciated.
