Obituary of Kenneth Learmont
Kenneth Learmont passed away peacefully on January 27, 2023 in Maple Ridge, BC.
Kenneth (Ken), was born on May 28, 1926 to Thomas Learmont and Charlotte Milford Learmont in Liverpool, England.
Ken served in the Military at the end of WW2 at the young age of 17. After his service, he worked as a waiter on passenger ships where he was able to travel the world.
Ken met the love of his life, Iris Coleman in 1949 in Liverpool. They decided to immigrate to Canada in 1954, where they were married on September 18, 1954 in Winnipeg. They soon moved to Ottawa where they had two children, Kenneth Wayne and Kimberley Ann.
In 1967 the family moved to British Columbia. Ken worked as the manager of the purchasing department for Swan Wooster Engineering in Vancouver from 1967 until his retirement in 1982.
He also served as a Free Mason for many years.
Ken is survived by his children and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife Iris; his parents and siblings.
