Scott Michael Roy

Scott Roy, a resident of M’Chigeeng First Nation,
began his spirit journey
on Tuesday at his residence on February 6, 2024.
He was born on Mnidoo Mnising, in Mindemoya, son of Francis Roy of M’Chigeeng and the late Kate Roy-ba (Clifford Debassige-ba) of M’Chigeeng. Scott enjoyed his outdoor adventures while on his skidoo and quad. He also enjoyed doing yard maintenance in his spare time. Scott was a primary caregiver for his father for many years. Scott enjoyed spending time with his dog, Ledo.
He enjoyed visiting with his many friends and extended family in the community, going for bike and quad rides, watching movies, including hockey games and listening to Waylon Jennings and George Jones. His greatest love of all time were his three children, Scott Jr., Shauna and Katelynn. They were his pride and joy. He would get excited when he would talk about them and share stories about what they were doing in life.
Scott will be remembered for his laugh, his candidness, his love of his pets, his online scrabble games,
playing cards, and his knowledge of
the happenings in M’Chigeeng.
Scott is predeceased by his mother
Kate Roy (M’Chigeeng).
Loving and loved father of Shauna, Katelynn and Scott Jr.
Loving and loved brother to Beverley (John), and twin Stephanie (Brian predeceased), Uncle to Cassandra,
Brian Jr. (Sonny), and great uncle to Kate Lainey.
Special Friend to Sheldon, Myles, Walter and Lewis.
Nephew of many aunties and uncles, and many cousins.
Relatives and friends may offer condolences at the M’Chigeeng Complex in M’Chigeeng
on Monday, February 12, 2024,
from 6 PM and 7 PM prayer service.
Funeral mass to celebrate Scott’s life will be at the M’Chigeeng Complex, M’Chigeeng
on Wednesday, February 14, 2024 at 11 AM.
Feast to follow afterwards.
