Obituary For Nancy Marie Dion
April 19, 1968 – February 2, 2024
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Nancy Marie Dion on February 2, 2024 in Grande Prairie, Alberta at the age of 55 years.
Nancy was born in Sainte-Anne-des-Monts, Quebec and grew up in Gaspésie, Quebec. She moved to New Brunswick before moving to Alberta in 2013 with her spouse Mario. They continued raising their family here in Alberta. In her spare time, Nancy enjoyed painting, baking, gardening and shopping. Nancy loved animals and even worked at the local SPCA. She was very artistic and enjoyed knitting and crafts. Above all, Nancy loved her family and especially her grandchildren. She will be missed by all who loved and knew her.
Nancy will be lovingly remembered by her spouse Mario Vaillancourt, her son David Kenney, her daughters Karine St-onge and Megane Dion, her stepson Kenny Vaillancourt and his children, her stepdaughter Mindy Vaillancourt, her grandchildren Heather and Philip as well as her brothers Martin Dion and Dave Dion.
She was pre-deceased by her mother Léona Boucher, her father André Albert Dion, her grandmother Léonie Oullette and her grandfather George Boucher.
A memorial service will be held for Nancy on Thursday, February 8th, 2024 at 2pm at Bear Creek Funeral Home in Grande Prairie, Alberta (11802 99 Avenue).
