Proulx laisse dans le deuil ses enfants Ginette (René), Michel (feu Sylvie), Mario (Danielle) et Pierre-Paul (Véronique), ses petits-enfants Guylaine, Ghislain, Nancy, Patrick, Steve, Benoit, Alexandre, Guillaume et Mathieu, ses arrière-petits-enfants ainsi que ses frères et sœurs, beaux-frères, belles-sœurs, neveux, nièces, parents et amis.
Il rejoint son épouse Lucienne et ses filles Nicole et Suzanne.
