It is with great sadness that the family of Jadwiga Sitarz announces her passing on January 29, 2024, at the age of 91.
Our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friends will be greatly missed by those who knew and love her.
Jadwiga was born on April 14th, 1932 in Brudzen, Poland, where she grew up with nine siblings. Despite being unable to start her schooling on time, due to WWII, she became a preschool teacher, a career she dearly enjoyed.
She loved all children and raised two daughters before immigrating to Canada.
She was adorned by many and known as “Babcia” to all who knew her. She was as kind and generous as she was brave and fierce. Her personality, outspokenness, and kind nature will be greatly missed.
