Memorial Donation
Walter passed away peacefully at the Northwood Lodge at the age of 83. He was born in Deer Lake First Nation to parents Clara Janet Meekis and Donald Jesmer. His parents moved to Red Lake in 1956. He had 9 siblings and was very close with his sister Marie Ann Orvis. Walter loved the outdoors and was a fishing guide for many years.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, Feb. 5th at 11 am in the Forestry Fellowship Hall with Pastor Orpah McKenzie officiating.
Interment will follow in the Red Lake Cemetery.
Donations in his memory may be made to the Red Lake Christian Assembly Church through the Red Lake Chapel, Box 237, Red Lake, ON.
