Barbara (Barb) Ann Dorey, age 82, of Parry Sound, passed peacefully on Saturday January 27 2024, at the West Parry Sound Health Centre in the presence of her son Russell and his wife Katherine.
Barbara was born January 23, 1942 in Toronto to parents Victor and Nellie Franks. Barbara lived as a dedicated wife and spent a great deal of her life caring for kids. Initially as a full-time babysitter to kids in her neighborhood and later as a lunch time supervisor at the local public school in Mississauga where she formerly lived. She will be fondly remembered for her love of animals, plants and flowers. In her more recent years, she greatly enjoyed spending time relaxing with friends and family at her trailer in Britt, Ontario.
Barb is survived by her Husband Charles, sons, Ron, Ken (wife Jan), Russell (wife Katherine), grandchildren George, and Andrew, step children and grandchildren.
As per her wishes no funeral will be held and a celebration of life will take place at a time that has yet to be determined.
In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
