Daniel Wolfgang Zeller passed away peacefully in the evening of January 16, 2024, at the age of 86, attended by his wife Nancy and sons Jacob and Joseph.
Dan was born June 9, 1937 in Berlin, Germany to Max and Leonore Zeller. They emigrated to the United States to escape the Nazi regime and ultimately settled in Los Angeles where his younger siblings, Jacqueline and David, were born.
In Los Angeles, Dan met Nancy, whom he married in 1970, and together they lived in Topanga Canyon, CA with their sons, until moving north to Langley, BC Canada in 1989. With his Jungian background, Dan practiced sandplay and educational therapy. Throughout his career as a clinical counselor he helped, and touched many lives, both young and old.
Dan’s love for animals was prevalent, beginning with his first cat Li Ming, through the latest cat Suki, with many ducks, goats, cats, and dogs in between. He loved listening to music, making music, cooking (especially pizza), tai chai, woodworking, storytelling, poker, and other games.
Dan lived his life his way and will be missed by family and friends alike. May his memory be a blessing.
