Lorraine Marie Cottreau
October 25, 1925-January 24, 2024
Age 98 of Wedgeport, passed away on January 24, 2024 at the Yarmouth Regional Hospital, Yarmouth. Born in Belleville, she was a daughter of the late Josué and Rose Aimée (Babin) Pottier.
Lorraine was a WWII veteran and a proud member of the Wedgeport Royal Canadian Legion Branch 155.
Lorraine is survived by nephews, Marc Fortin (Sylvie St. Pierre) and Jean Guy Fortin (Christine Bouchard); grandniece, Marie Josée; and many friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Gerald Cottreau; siblings, Alfred Pottier and Therèse Pottier (Jean Joseph Fortin).
Funeral arrangements and cremation are under the care and direction of Huskilson’s Funeral Home, Yarmouth. A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, January 31, 2024 at 11 a.m. in Saint Michel Catholic Church, Wedgeport with a burial to follow in the parish cemetery. A visitation will be held from 9:45 a.m. until the time of the service at 11 a.m. with a Legion Service at 10:30 a.m. in Saint Michel Catholic Church, Wedgeport. Donations may be made to Saint Michel Cemetery Fund.
