To our deep sorrow it has pleased the Lord to take out of our midst, after a period of declining health, my dearly beloved husband, our caring father, grandfather and great-grandfather on Wednesday, January 24, 2024, at the age of 89 years.
Beloved husband of 64 years of Maria Van Ravenswaay-Ryksen.
Loving father of Joanne McLellan and Chris and Hennie Van Ravenswaay.
Loving grandfather of Josephine and Matt Van Manen, Anthony and Jacoba Van Esch and Deanna and Teunis Penning. Great-grandfather of Blake, Caylee, Bree, Chelsey, Brayden, Erik, Natalie and Kevin.
Brother and brother-in-law of Cornelia Couperus, Cor and Nellie Byl, Alice Kloot, John and Wympje Ryksen and John and Rika Jansen.
Predeceased by son-in-law Ken McLellan, one brother, one sister, four brothers-in-law and 2 sisters-in-law.
Family and friends will be received at the Netherlands Reformed Congregation, 45 Main Street East, Norwich, ON, on Saturday, January 27, 2024 from 2:00-4:00 pm. & 7:00-9:00 pm and Monday, January 29, 2024 from 9:30-10:15 am.
Funeral Service will be held at the Netherlands Reformed Congregation on Monday, January 29, 2024 at 10:30 am. DV, Rev. E. Hakvoort officiating. Burial to follow at the Springford Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Bethany Care Home of Norwich.
