Peacefully in hospital after a brief illness, in the late evening of January 16, 2024. Annie Settimi died at the age of 86. Beloved wife of 65 years to her late husband Roger. Loving mother to Sandra Campovari, Johnny (Tina). Dear nonnie to Adrianna (Dan), Michael (Raquel), Roger (Claudia), Nicholas, Jeremy (Elley), Vanessa (Matthew). Bisnonna to Olivia, Ava, Danica, Vienna, Capri, Adele, Maxim, Mateo, Myla. Dear sister to Florence (Adornino), Helen (Rocco), the late Dianna (late Joe), Michelina (Nick), the late Michael and the late Edward. Predeceased by her parents Antoinette and Benvenutto Gioia. Dear sister in law to Ottavio (Vincenza), Maria (the late Emilio), Pierina (the late Valentino), the late Maria and Mario, the late Laurina and Gino, Rita (the late Guiseppe), the late Francesco and Adelia. Survived by many nieces and nephews. Annie was involved as a member of Blessed Sacrament Parish C.W.L. as secretary for many years. Annie was also an established hair dresser all of her working life. She was also a member of the Venetian Club of Hamilton. Annie also did lunchroom supervising for 21 years at Blessed Sacrament School. She also made time to do volunteer work in the community where and whenever she could. Visitation will be held at P.X. DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 796 Upper Gage Ave. (Between Mohawk and Fennell) on Monday January 22, 2024 from 2-9 p.m. The Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church (305 East 37th St.) on Tuesday January 23, 2024 at 10 a.m. Entombment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Our Lady of Victory Mausoleum.
