CHRISTINE BROWN BOLTON
Passed away January 16, 2024, peacefully with her husband Alan and son Robert at her side. Christine was born in Edinburgh, Scotland to Richard and Christine Wilson on March 6, 1940. She was educated in Scotland, leaving school at age 14 to work until emigrating to Canada in 1963.
Christine worked at the Royal Bank in Toronto and met and married Alan Bolton. They had many happy years together and had a son, Robert born in 1970. She was a proud grandmother to Lewis, born to Robert and his wife Sarah in 2014. She lived in Toronto until 1993 when she and Alan moved to Montreal and eventually Tillsonburg in 1999.
Christine loved meeting people and was a cheerful and caring person who loved a good party and Friday night pub night. She will be greatly missed. We will miss her laughter, good humor and gentle caring spirit. She is survived by Alan, Robert, Lewis, her niece Linda Honig and brother Richard Wilson.
As per her wishes, she will be cremated and interred in the family plot in Tillsonburg.
“A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss, ah yes these I too will miss. Be not burdened with times of sorrow. I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow. My life’s been full, I’ve savoured much, good friends, good times, a loved one’s touch.”
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital may be made by contacting Ostrander’s Funeral Home, 43 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg (519-842-5221) who have been entrusted by the Bolton family.
