Beresford – Léon Thériault of Beresford and formerly of Bathurst, passed away at the age 80, on January 16, 2024. Born in Grande-Anse, he was the son of the late Alphonse and the late Brigitte (Hache) Theriault.
Léon is survived by his wife Georgette (Cormier) Thériault. Brothers and sisters: Jean-Paul (late Sheila), Huguette Clément (late Jean-Baptiste), Vincent (Gisèle), Linda Thériault and Diane Godin (Claude) and several nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by a sister, Yvonne.
As per Léon’s wishes, there will be no visitations or funeral service.
The family would like to thank the many friends and extended family members who helped and supported Leon during his illness, as well as Dr. Pierre O’Brien and Dr. Jean-Pierre Arseneau and the Hospital staff for the good care Leon received.
Donations in memory of Leon may be made to the “Founding Cultures Museum” in Grande-Anse.
