James Klatt Obituary
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our father, James Klatt. James passed away peacefully on January 16, 2024, in the company of family and close friends at the Pasqua Hospital in Regina.
He was predeceased by his parents, Fay and Waldon Klatt; and his brother, Richard Klatt.
James is survived by his daughter, Kayla Klatt; his son, Andrew Klatt; and his grandchild, Nikayla.
James, fondly known as Boomer, was born on November 27, 1963, and grew up in Yellow Grass, SK. Boomer’s journey began in this close-knit community, where he forged lifelong friendships and created cherished memories.
Boomer was a passionate and active member of the local sports community in his younger years, dedicating a significant part of his life to the love of the game. His expertise in the hockey rink was legendary, and he often regaled others with tales of the glory days, reminiscing about the camaraderie and triumphs that defined his time on the ice.
A true enthusiast, Boomer’s heart belonged to the Montreal Canadiens, and his devotion to the team was unwavering. His eyes would light up whenever he spoke about the sport he loved, and he could always be found cheering on his favorite team with infectious enthusiasm.
May his soul find eternal peace and may the memories of his spirit continue to bring comfort and solace to those who loved him.
At James’s request, no funeral service will be held.
Interment will take place at a later date at Yellow Grass Cemetery, Yellow Grass, SK.
