Peacefully surrounded by her loving family and friends at her side, Jody passed away at the age of 56 on Saturday, January 13th, 2024. Beloved wife of Kevin Devaney. Cherished and adored daughter of Pauline and Joseph MacDonald. Loving sister and best friend of Kathy Laushway (Jeff) and Tom MacDonald (Lori).
Proud, loving and enthusiastic “AJ” (Aunt Jody) of Hilary, Kayla, Kristopher, Lauren, Holly, Kara, Cameron, Andre, Louis, Emelie, Jenna, Colin and Jaxson. Jody is survived by numerous loving aunts, uncles, cousins, sisters and brothers in law. Jody’s contagious smile and loving personality was shared by many friends and family through work, travel and her love of sports. Jody’s love of sports connected her with many lifelong friends. She could be found regularly on the golf course, volleyball court or baseball diamond as an athlete and absolutely loved watching her nieces and nephews play all of their sports.
Family and friends may join us for a Mass of Christian Burial to be held at St. Mark Catholic Church, 160 Dibble St West, Prescott, Ontario on Saturday, January 20th, 2024 at 11 a.m. Interment will take place at St. Mark Catholic Cemetery in the Spring. A celebration in honour of Jody’s life will be held at the Prescott Golf Club, 900 Boundary St, Prescott, Ontario immediately following the funeral Mass. Words of Remembrance for Jody will be shared at 1:30 pm.
Jody will be lovingly remembered through the establishment of a bursary for a graduating student that exhibits her qualities in life.
