It is with heavy hearts and a profound sense of loss that we announce the passing of Filomena, who returned home to God on January 11, 2024, at the age of 88. She leaves behind a legacy of love, warmth, and joy that will forever be etched in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her.
Filomena is survived by her devoted husband of many wonderful years, Donato, who stood by her side through thick and thin, sharing a love that inspired those around them. She will be deeply missed and cherished by her beautiful children, Loreto (Sonia), Angela (Ivano), and Alfredo (Milena). Filomena’s love extended beyond her immediate family, touching the lives of her grandchildren: Jonathon (Stephanie), Daniela (David), Laura (Matteo), Alexander (Marlena), Sarah, and Vanessa. Her presence also graced the lives of her great-grandchildren: Erica, Victoria, Leonardo, Luca, Alessandra, Isabella, Maximus, and Madeline.
Filomena will be remembered for her warm and inviting personality that made everyone feel at home in her presence. Her kindness knew no bounds, and her laughter was a melody that brought joy to those fortunate enough to share in it. She created a home filled with love, where family and friends gathered to create lasting memories.
Beyond her immediate family, Filomena will be deeply missed by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends who were touched by her kindness and grace. Her impact on the lives she touched is immeasurable, and her memory will continue to live on through the countless stories and shared moments.
As we bid farewell to Filomena, let us remember her not with sorrow, but with gratitude for the love and joy she brought into our lives. Visitation for Filomena have been entrusted to the DeMarco Funeral Home – Woodbridge Chapel (8003 Weston Road. 905.850.9500) and will commence on Sunday, January 14th, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on, Monday, January 15, 2024, at 9:30 a.m. and conducted at Immaculate Conception Parish (300 Ansley Grove Road., Woodbridge, On.). Entombment service to follow at Beechwood Cemetery (7241 Jane Street, Concord, On.)
