Age 82 Years
Passed peacefully away in the presence of her two daughters, Cindy & Carol Anne, at Chancellor Park on Tuesday January 9th.
Predeceased by her husband Roy, Parents Benjamin and Jennie, Sisters Minnie (Isaac), Betty (Murray) and Beatrice (Bud), brother Ben, Sister in law Bessie Pike (Cornelius) Brothers in law Dominic Vetro and John Marcinov.
Leaving to mourn daughters Cindy Stead (David) & Carol Anne Everson (Lance), Grandson Michael Everson (Trish), Sisters Marion Marcinov and Ann Lambe, Sisters in law Laura Vetro, Marina Collier, Betty Haley, & Linda Lambe & Brothers in law Clayton Lambe, Les Collier & Bob Lambe & many nieces, nephews, great nieces & great nephews.
Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Roberta’s Life will be held in the spring. Details will be shared once finalized.
Roberta was born on Allan’s Island & spent her early years teaching school there. It was there that she met, Roy, the love of her life and began their lifelong journey together. She was always happiest when the wheels were moving on the car, whether it was a picnic at Piercey’s Brook or an adventurous road trip. She was strong and firm but soft when you needed it the most. Her beautiful smile will be missed by all who knew her.
Special thanks to the wonderful staff at Chancellor Park for their incredible care & compassion as Roberta bravely battled dementia in the final years of her life. They were truly her second family. Also special thanks to Dr. Pat O’Shea and Dr. Lisa Keiley for their special care, support, kindness and compassion.
A very special thanks to Marilyn Patrick for the countless visits with Mom at Chancellor Park. Your love and support for Mom and for us will always be remembered. We are forever grateful.
