George was a caring husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He left this world suddenly on Tuesday, January 9th, 2024, at the age of 74.
Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Carmella Couture (Juliano) and the late Edward Couture.
He leaves behind his spouse Elizabeth Herzog Leech, two children: Carole Cousineau (Francis) and Mario Couture.
His only brother and best friend Gerard Couture (Judy, nephew Scott)
Three stepchildren: Tara Leech (Jeff), Colleen Robitaille (Jay) and Carrie Zweig (David).
13 grandchildren: Pierce, Halle, Jonathan, Chloe, Madison, Jacob, Halley, Pearson, Riley, Olivia, Jayme, Lennon and Ever.
George dedicated over 50 years of his life to the car industry, where he found joy in his work and formed lasting relationships with his colleagues. Outside of work, he was a passionate hunter and cherished the time he spent with his brother and close friends. George’s absence will be deeply felt by all who knew him.
As per his wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service.
Donations in memory of George may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of the donor’s choice.
