Janeville- John Morrison passed away peacefully at his residence in Janeville, on Monday January 8, 2024, at the age of 80.
Born in Janeville, he was the son of the late Donald and Dorothy (MacKenzie) Morrison.
John was a retired welder from the former Brunswick Mines.
He was pre-deceased by his wife, Adeline (Wood) Morrison and is survived by one son, Glenn (Leeanna) Morrison of Janeville.
Two daughters: Kim Scott (Dwight) of Salmon Beach and Lori Roy (Robert) of Bathurst.
One brother, Arthur Morrison (Kay) of Janeville.
Four sisters: Lorna Veneau (late Gary) of Canobie, Evelyn Sealy (John) of Ontario, Kathy Dempsey (Mike) of Pictou, NS and Darlene Dempsey (Harold) of Pokeshaw.
Five grandchildren: Melissa, Shawna, Allison, Justin, Brandon and four step-grandchildren: Melanie, Sonya, Chelsey, Chad and twelve great-grand-children: Nixon, Isla, Ivan, Chloé, Alex, Kinsey, Carly, Violet, Chloe, Stacey, Hilary and Emilie.
Several nieces and nephews.
Besides his wife, he was pre-deceased by a brother, Burton and a sister, Mary.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Elhatton funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2024, from the Elhatton funeral chapel on day January 2024 at 10 a.m. Donations in memory of John can be made to the Anglican Church of New Bandon, the Royal Canadian Legion or a charity of the donors choice.
