Leo Wallace Bissonette of Chatham, passed away on Wednesday, December 27, 2023 at Chatham Kent Health Alliance. Born in Comber, Ontario 75 years ago. Son of the late Everette and Beatrice Bissonette. Husband of Carol Hutchingame. Father of Marguerite (Gary), Ellenor (Mike), Brenda (Jeff), Terry (the late Traci), John, and Peter (and wife). Grandfather of Joshua, Michael, Rick, Christopher, Emerson, Bronsyn, Ethyn, Scotty, Nicole, and CeCe. Brother of Alice (Charles), Irene (Paul), and James. Leo will also be missed by his great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family.
Leo enjoyed playing scrabble, golf, baseball, and many sports, he also played pool, going to the championships every year. He enjoyed trips to Florida with Carol and Corky their dog and all of the friends they made along the way. Leo especially enjoyed family time together particularly at Christmas and holidays.
Leo’s family would like to thank Dr Hastings, Dr Van and the staff at Chatham Kent Health Alliance for their care of Leo. They also send special thanks to their friend Kathy who helped Leo and the family so much.
Leo’s family will be remembering him privately.
A special thank you to Terry for all the help throughout this journey.
