Alban Joseph Richard
1949-2023
RICHIBUCTO,NB – Alban Richard 74 of Richibucto
passed away peacefully at the Stella Maris Hospital in
Ste-Anne-de-Kent on Saturday, December 30, 2023. Born in
Richibucto, he was the son of the late Théophile Richard
and late Pauline (Doiron) Richard. Alban volunteered his
time with the Richibucto Fire Department and Saint John
Ambulance.
Alban will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 50 years,
Marie-Rose (Brun) Richard of Richibucto; one daughter,
Hélène Savoie (Gaëtan) of Dieppe; one
son, Francis Richard (Allan) of Miramichi and two grandsons, Maxime
and Alexandre.
He is also survived by one sister, Annie Richard
(Zoël) of Richibucto; three brothers, Yvon Richard (Marie) of
Aldouane, Vincent Richard (Linda) of Richibucto, Ola Richard (Diane)
of Moncton; brothers-in-law, Laurent Richard of Aldouane, Marcel
Doucet of Aldouane and many nieces and
nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by two sisters,
Béatrice, Zella and two infant
brothers.
Visitation will be held at Thompson`s Funeral Home in
Richibucto on Friday beginning at 2:00 pm until time of the
service. A celebration of Alban`s life will be held on
Friday, January 5, 2024 at 4:30 pm at the St. Louis de Gonzague Roman
Catholic Church in Richibucto. In lieu of flowers, donations in
Alban’s memory may be made to the charity of the donor’s
choice.
