Marissa Fritschy, of Calgary, Alberta, passed away on Wednesday, December 27, 2023, at the age of 32 years.
Marissa was born in Duncan, BC, on August 12, 1991. She moved to Calgary, AB, in 2002, and graduated from the Calgary Christian School in June 2009. Marissa enjoyed art, music and technology. Marissa loved to vacation by the ocean.
Marissa is survived by her parents, Harry and Eleanor Fritschy of Calgary, AB; sisters, Tara Fritschy of Taber, AB, Nikki Fritschy (Scott Walker), Michelle Buckle (Matt), and Melinda Gwozdzinski (Daniel); niece Chloe Buckle and nephews Tyson Walker, Owen Walker and Jonas Buckle, as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Marissa was predeceased by her grandparents Joseph and Wilhelmina Fritschij and John and Evelyn Harris.
Funeral Services will be held at Emmanuel Christian Reformed Church (3020 51st St. SW) on Friday, January 5, 2024 at 1:00 PM. Family and friends who are unable to attend in person are invited to join Marissa Fritschy’s service streamed live on the day of the service through Emmanuel Chistian Reformed Church website. Condolences, memories, and photos may be shared and viewed with Marissa’s family here.
