Joyce LeGassie Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Joyce Marie (Walsh) LeGassie announces her passing on December 25, 2023, at the Saint John Regional Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Iserlohn, Germany, on August 31, 1966, to the late Manley and Barbara (MacLean) Walsh and was the loving wife of 13 years to her husband, Gerald LeGassie.
Joyce worked at Iron Mountain for the majority of her career, working her way up to a Customer Success Management position. She had a very uplifting and infectious smile and laugh that would get everyone laughing with her. She was kind and loving , both loud and quiet, and put everyone ahead of herself. She was so strong and fought valiantly at the end for this life that she built with her husband. She was a dear woman who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
In addition to her husband, Gerald, she is survived by her sister, Brenda Savage and her 9 adored cats. She was predeceased by her parents and six other fur babies who she loved so deeply.
Arrangements are entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John, NB, (506-646-2424) where visitation will take place from 10am-12pm on Saturday, December 30, 2023, with a funeral service to follow in the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel at 12pm. A private family interment will be held at a later date. For those who wish, memorial donations made in her memory to the SPCA-Animal Rescue League, C-AR-MA Saint John, or to the charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by her family.
