Jean-Claude Jaillet, 71, of Saint-Edouard-de-Kent, passed away
peacefully, surrounded by his family at the UHC Dr Georges-L. Dumont,
Moncton on Sunday December 24, 2023. He was married to Simonne
(Bastarache) Jaillet. Born in Bouctouche, he was the son of Lucina
(Bernard) Jaillet and the late Noël Jaillet.
Jean-Claude was a nature lover; his hobbies were hunting, fishing, and
music. His greatest joy was following his grandchildren to sports
events.
He will be sadly missed by his mother; Lucina Jaillet of Bouctouche,
his wife; Simonne, his daughter; Melissa Jaillet Cormier (Marcel) of
Saint-Antoine, his two grandchildren; Cédric and Audrée. He
also leaves to mourn his four sisters; Carmen Bourque (Paul-Emile) of
Dieppe, Ysola Holmden (Chuck), Monique Jaillet of Moncton, Jackie
Grattan of Saint-Edouard-de-Kent, his four brothers; Bermond (Linda),
Paul-Emile (Dorice), Serge (Micheline) of Saint-Edouard-de-Kent, Eloi
(Linda) of Dieppe, several nephews and nieces. Also his parents
in-law: André and Bernice Bastarache, brother-in-law; Charles
(late Ginette) and sister-in-law: Linda Bastarache all of
Bouctouche.
Visitations will be held at the Sainte-Anne-de-Kent Roman Catholic
Church Slumber Room, Sainte-Anne-de-Kent on Tuesday January 2, 2024
from 1:00 pm to 3:45 pm. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at the
Church on Tuesday January 2, 2024 at 4:00 pm.
In Jean-Claude’s memory, donations may be made to the Heart and
Stroke Foundation in lieu of Flowers.
