Peacefully, surrounded by loving family, on Wednesday, December 20, 2023, at Bear Creek Terrace, John Emil Spiruda passed away at the age of 78. Beloved husband of the late Marilyn Spiruda for over 50 years. Loving father of Brian (Barb) Trinacty, Randy (Mary Anne) Trinacty, and Kevin Trinacty. Cherished grandfather of Stephanie Weaver (Jeremy), Ashley Moore (Nick), Nick Trinacty (Felicia), Sabre Walker, Madison Trinacty, and great-grandfather of Marlowe Weaver, Keira Weaver, Ethan Weaver, Lucas Johnson, and Leah Johnson. Predeceased by his parents Frank and Frances Spiruda, his brothers Joseph, Frank, Chuck, and Laddie, and his grandson Sawyer Walker. John loved spending time with his family and friends. He was very active in his grandchildren and great-grandchildren’s lives, going on trips together and playing games. John and Marilyn spent every summer over the past 30 years at their trailer at Our Ponderosa trailer park in Ipperwash where they made many lifelong friendships. A special thank you to the staff at Bear Creek Terrace for their care and compassion to John and our family. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to Alzheimer Society of Sarnia-Lambton or CMHA (cheques only at the funeral home please).
