It is with great sadness that the family of the late Francis Emmanuel (Frank) Pearce announce his passing on Monday, December 18, 2023 at the Bay St. George Seniors Home in Stephenville Crossing. Born in Cape Ray, NL, Frank was the son of the late Emmanuel Pearce and Amelia Pearce née Short. Frank leaves behind his loving wife Doreen Pearce née Tapp of 50 years and his son Mark (Corine) Pearce from Middle Sackville, N.S.
Frank was predeceased by his father and mother in-law Philip and Eliza Tapp née Penny. His brothers and sisters and in-laws; Nelson Pearce, Llewelyn (Catherine) Pearce, Joseph (Laura) Pearce, Catherine (Pierce) Osmond, Bridget Ellis (Walter) Cousins, Frances(James) Coffin, Theresa (Maxwell) Currie, Elsie(Rodrick) Parsons, Phyllis (Eric) Piercey, Caroline(Clifford) Pike, George (Alice) Tapp, Annie Tapp, Myrtle Tapp, Laura Gilliam, Evelyn Janes.
Frank leaves to mourn his brother’s and sister’s and in-laws; Clayton (Vera) Tapp, Howard (Shirley) Tapp, Gord (Corrine) Tapp, Audrey (Bob) Anderson, Ivan (Marilyn) Tapp, Bob (Donna) Tapp, Austin Janes, Samuel Gilliam.
Frank also leaves behind his many nephews and nieces along with so many of his good friends. A special thanks to all the staff of the Bay St. George Long Term Care Centre in Stephenville Crossing.
Visitation will take place December 20th from 7:00-9:00 PM and December 21st from 2:00-4:00 PM and 7:00-9:00 PM at St. John The Evangelist in Cape Ray. The funeral service will take place on Friday, December 22nd at 2:00 PM at St. John The Evangelist church with the Rev. Faye Coffin officiating. Internment will follow at St. John The Evangelist Cemetery, Cape Ray.
Donations in Franks memory may be made to the St. John The Evangelist Church or a charity of one’s choice.
