NIGHSWANDER, Helen
December 12, 1928 – December 15, 2023
In her 96th year, passed away peacefully on December 18, 2023 in her home surrounded by her loved ones.
She will be dearly missed by her husband of 66 years, Reg. They met in Beamsville teaching after both graduated from U of T. Sister of Ruth Luke (Lindsay). Proud mother of David (Jeanine), Ruth (John Haydock), Lynne (Scott Anderson). Dear grandmother of Danny, Jess, Dean, Jenny, William, Nicole, Julia and Patrick and great grandmother of Mosiah.
Helen enjoyed bridge, puzzles and sudoku. She was an active member of Knox United Church Women and the University Women’s Club of Scarborough. She spent happy summers at the family cottage on Balsam Lake.
The family will receive friends at the Ogden Funeral Home on Friday 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. A memorial service will be held in the Ogden Chapel on Saturday at 3:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers donation may be made to Knox United Church Memorial Fund, Agincourt. Online condolences can be left at ogdenfuneralhome.com.
