Roger Denis Champagne est décédé paisiblement, entouré de sa famille, le dimanche 17 décembre 2023 à l’âge de 85 ans. Il était le fils de feu Lucien Champagne et de feu Lucie Leduc.
Époux, père et grand-père d’une grande bonté, généreux, aimant et dévoué, il laisse Céline (Guévin), son épouse bien aimée depuis plus de 57 ans, ses fils Pierre (Nathalie) et Stéphane (Sophie) ainsi que ses quatre petites-filles adorées Emmanuelle, Caroline, Léah et Émilie dont il était si fier.
Il est prédécédé par ses sœurs Marie-Marthe, Roberte et Aline, ainsi que ses frères Robert, Abbé Jean-Marie, Marcel, Guy, Gilles et Roland. Il laisse avec le souvenir d’une vie bien remplie ses sœurs Marie-Paule, Thérèse, Diane, ses beaux-frères et belles-sœurs des familles Champagne et Guévin, ainsi que ses nombreux neveux, nièces et amis.
Après une vie familiale heureuse et une carrière professionnelle à la Banque de Montréal et Postes Canada, Roger a profité de sa retraite pour voyager dans plusieurs pays et redonner à sa communauté en s’impliquant activement avec les Bergers de l’Espoir, les Chevaliers de Colomb et à la Paroisse Sainte-Marie.
Un service funéraire aura lieu le samedi 23 décembre 2023 à 13h00 à la Paroisse Sainte-Marie d’Orléans, 4831, chemin Innes, Orléans, ON. La famille accueillera parents et amis dès 12h00.
Au lieu de fleurs, un don peut être fait aux Bergers de l’Espoir à Ottawa.

Roger Denis Champagne passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on December 17, 2023 at the age of 85 years old. He was the son of the late Lucien Champagne and the late Lucie Leduc.
Kind, generous, loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather, he was the beloved husband to Céline (Guévin) of more than 57 years and father to his sons Pierre (Nathalie) and Stéphane (Sophie). He took enormous pride and joy in following the accomplishments of his four granddaughters Emmanuelle, Caroline, Léah and Émilie.
He is predeceased by his sisters Marie-Marthe, Roberte and Aline, and his brothers Robert, Father Jean-Marie, Marcel, Guy, Gilles and Roland. He is survived by his sisters Marie-Paule, Thérèse, Diane, his brothers and sisters-in-law from the Champagne and Guévin families, and his many nephews, nieces and friends.
After a busy family life and professional career at the Bank of Montréal and Canada Post, Roger took advantage of his retirement to travel and to give back to his community through active involvement with the Shepherds of Good Hope, the Knights of Columbus and the Sainte-Marie parish.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 23, 2023 at 1:00pm at the Sainte-Marie Parish, 4831 Innes Road, Orléans, ON. The family will receive relatives and friends starting at 12:00pm.
Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to the Shepherds of Good Hope in Ottawa.
