It is with great sadness we announce the unexpected passing of our father Douglas Miller. He passed away peacefully at home on Friday, December 15, 2023 at the age of 73. Loving husband of the late Gayle (Utronki). Beloved father of Kurtis (Lindsay) of Kingston and Chad (Anya) of Renfrew. Adored grandfather of Abigail, Kylie, Novah and Halle.
He will be deeply missed by the community of Renfrew and the surrounding areas. He touched the lives of so many through his work in education, sports and drama. He will be remembered by many friends, family, and new found siblings that he shared so much excitement in getting to meet as well as his many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents, his sisters-in-law Lois (Bill Butson) and Barb (late Bob Storie) as well as his brother-in-law Al (late Bev Utronki).
Friends and family are invited to gather at Zohr Family Funeral Home, Renfrew where visitation will be held on Thursday, December 21, 2023 from 2:00 – 4:00pm and 7:00 – 9:00pm. A brief visitation will be held on Friday morning from 9:30 until 10:30am. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church at 11:00am. Reception to follow at the Renfrew Golf Club from 12 Noon until 4:00pm. In memory of Douglas please consider a donation to the Renfrew Victoria Hospital or Hospice Renfrew.
