Dennis’ Obituary
DOUCETTE, Dennis Roger – age 62. It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Dennis on December 13th, 2023, with loving family by his side. Born in Yarmouth, he was a son of the late Roger and Hilda (Nickerson) Doucette.
Dennis touched the hearts of many people. He enjoyed drumming up a conversation with anyone he met, especially his good friend Lenny, who he often spoke very highly of. His pride and joy were his children and grandchildren. Dennis enjoyed going for long car rides with his soulmate, loving fiancé, Debbie Murray, where he often visited family and friends. Saturdays were usually reserved for their special place, they brought their coffees and sat to feed the deer by hand. Dennis was a fisherman for many years, then later a security guard for Mackenzie security and lastly, a dock loader at Loomis Express Ltd.
Dennis is survived by his children, Kyle (Mande), Allison (Ben), Trinity and Jayden; step children, Shannon (Shayne) and Terry (Jillian); grandchildren, Kinsley, Jannelle, Lucas, Khloe, Elliot, Joey; siblings, Diane (Gordie), Sharon, Debbie, Shirley (Terry), Gail (Gordie), Louis, Jeannie (Derek), George (Heather), Niel (Karen); and lots of nieces and nephews that he loved dearly.
Dennis is predeceased by his loving fiancé, Debbie Murray who he adored, sister, Rosemary Banks; brothers-in-law, Herbert Nickerson and Gary Morton.
The Family would like to send out a loving Thank-you to everyone at bayside home for the Care and compassion that they all gave Dennis during his short stay.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Huskilson’s Funeral Home in Yarmouth. There will be a celebration of life at a later date.
