MEISENBURG, Peter –

Peter Meisenburg Sr., a beacon of love and wisdom, embarked on his final journey on December 6, 2023, at the age of 92 at home. Born on March 15, 1931, in the quaint town of Schöndorf. Peter’s life was a tapestry woven with the vibrant threads of adventure, traveling, family, and an unquenchable zest of life, which he carried with him until his last days in the scenic embrace of Niagara Falls.
Peter’s spirit was a compass that led him to many corners of the earth, but it was the simple pleasure of sitting in the sun that filled his soul with the purest joy. His love for travel was not just about the destinations but the experiences and the people he met along the day. He shared this passion with his beloved family – his children, Lorrae, Caroline, and Peter, his grandchildren, Natalie (Mike) and Kendra and his great grandson, Hudson, who were all the North Star of his existence. Peter will be sorely missed by Puma, his ever-present furry companion. Predeceased by his loving brother John and sister Anna.
Described by those who knew him as loving, wise and spirited, Peter’s legacy is not merely in the years he lived but in the wisdom, he imparted and the laughter he spread. Peter loved his weekly card and pool games throughout the community and his younger days of judo and dancing.
Today, we celebrate a man who was a father, grandfather, great grandfather, friend and a guiding light to all. Let us honor his memory by living fully, loving deeply, and embarking on our own journeys with the same courage and cheer that he did. Sail on, Peter, into the eternal sunshine that you loved. A very special thank you to all the nurses and PSWs who cared for Peter at home.

The family will receive friends at MORSE & SON FUNERAL HOME,5917 Main St., Niagara Falls, on Sunday from 2-4 p.m. Funeral Mass to celebrate the life of Peter, will be held at St. Patrick’s Church, 4673 Victoria Ave., Niagara Falls, on Monday December 11, 2023, at 12:30 p.m. The Rite of Committal to follow in Fairview Cemetery.
