White, Mary Jean (nee Laprise)
A resident of Chatham, Mary Jean White (nee Laprise) passed away peacefully at the London Health Sciences Centre – Victoria Hospital on Sunday, November 26, 2023.
She was the daughter of the late Leo & Edna (nee Rylett) Laprise.
Mary Jean will be reunited with her husband, Larry (2007).
Loving mother of Geoff White (Shanonn) & Pam Kuipers (Jeff Bourdeau).
Grandma of Colton, Caden, Kierra & Kenzie.
Sister of Robert Laprise (Catherine), Shirlie DeJong (Peter), Doreen Levesque (Louis), Diane Jacques (Phil), Roger Laprise and the late Paul Laprise.
Sister-in-law of Gwendolyn Hudson.
Special friend of Ken Brooks.
Missed by many nieces, nephews & extended family and friends.
Mary Jean retired from Union Gas after 30 years as a Data Entry Clerk. She enjoyed dancing at the Moose Lodge and the Legion, landscaping her yard and spending time with her grandkids. Mary Jean volunteered with the Canadian Blood Services for 10 years. She will be reunited with her furry companions, Burt, Shaggy, Ron, Kaluha & Jakie and missed by Coco, Cinder & Gus. Mary Jean traveled on many Cruises throughout the world including Alaska, New Zealand and Hawaii. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the McKinlay Reception Centre, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham from 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm on Sunday, December 3rd, 2023.
In memory of Mary Jean, donations may be made to the Canadian Blood Services or to the Heavens Wildlife Rescue, Oil Springs.
