Virginia Albert
1931-2023
Virginia Faye (Brayall) Albert of Carlingford, NB passed away
peacefully surrounded by family at the Hotel Dieu St. Joseph Hospital
in Perth-Andover on November 17, 2023.
Virginia was born in Tilley NB, on March 13, 1931, and was the last
surviving member of her family. She was the daughter of the late
Cosmos and Estella (McQuade) Brayall. She was predeceased by the love
of her life for 53 years, Leon Joseph Albert.
She leaves behind her daughters Gail Cougle of Fredericton, NB, Penny
Adams (Ernie) of Fredericton, NB; her sons, Glenn Albert (Sharon) of
Perth-Andover, NB, Tony Albert (Alison) of Tilley, NB; her
daughter–in-law, Cathy Albert of Nackawic, NB.
Virginia was blessed with 14 grandchildren: Mark Ouellette, Tim
Ouellette, Chris Ouellette, Colin Cougle, Todd Cougle, Stacey
McCarthy, Craig Adams, Scott Adams, Tammy Davis, Adam Albert, Sandie
Brown, Danielle Othen, Kayla Eagles and Stacey Holmes; three
step-grandchildren, Phillip Goguen, Shelley Goguen and Ross Jones.
She had 27 great grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren.
Virginia was predeceased by her parents and all of her 12 siblings;
her loving husband; her daughter, Brenda Ouellette; her son, Delbert
Albert; and her son-in-law, Merlin Cougle.
Virginia was strong in her faith and a devoted member of the Catholic
Church her entire life. She will always be remembered for her strong
work ethic. She worked many years at McCains and could always be found
in the berry fields and potato fields. She had a strong love for the
outdoors and was often found in her garden. She loved family dinners
and was always cooking, baking or putting something down. Family was
everything to her and she had a unique way of making each and everyone
of her children and grandchildren feel special. Although she had many
interests, she could often be found knitting (she made countless
Christmas socks), playing Bingo, and always within reach of a deck of
cards.
Resting at Brunswick Funeral Home with visitation on Monday from 7-9
pm. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at 11
am from St. Mary of the Angels Catholic Church. Father Gilbert
Doddatto celebrating. Interment will follow in the Assumption Catholic
Cemetery, Blue Bell, NB.
For those who wish, a donation can be made in honor of Virginia to the
Blue Bell Cemetery Fund or to Cystic Fibrosis Canada. It would be
appreciated by family.
