Obituary of Andrew Attkinson
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Andrew “Drew” Lincoln Attkinson, aged 46, of London, Ontario. Drew passed away at home on Saturday, November 11, 2023.
Drew is survived by his wife, Ally Lightfoot, his children, Emily McDowell, Laura McDowell, and Daniella Attkinson, Daniella’s mother, Joelleen Crowder, his parents, Rosemary and Michael Attkinson, his siblings, Chris (Linda) Attkinson and Sharon Attkinson. Drew will be fondly remembered by his aunts, uncles, niece and nephew, cousins, friends, colleagues, and those fortunate enough to have known him.
He derived immense happiness from spending time with his family, and his love for them was unwavering. His warm presence and caring nature will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by all who had the privilege of being part of his life.
Drew had a passion for cars, and he found solace in a leisurely drive. Cooking was another joy of Drew’s life, and he embraced the opportunity to experiment and create new recipes.
Drew’s departure leaves a void that cannot be filled, but his memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved him. He will be greatly missed by those who knew him.
All are welcome to join us in celebrating Drew’s life on Friday, November 17, 2023, at 1:00pm. A service and gathering will commence at The Oaks Golf & Country Club, located at 1552 Gideon Drive, London, Ontario.
The family asks for any donations or memorial contributions to be made to the Canadian Mental Health Association.
