Obituary of Marie Dupuis
It is with heavy hearts that we announce that Marie passed peacefully with family at her side on Friday, November 10, 2023, in her 87th year. Cherished wife to Romeo for 68 years. She will be sorely missed by her children Robert (Yvonne), Donald and Denise (Bob). She will be forever remembered by her grandchildren, Richard (Christine), Nicole (Jon), Caitlin (Mitch), Kristen (Zach) and her great-grandson Nolan.
She is preceded in death by 2 sisters and 1 brother.
A talented painter, crafter and cook, Marie was immensely proud of her family and leaves behind nothing but beautiful memories.
Marie served as a member of the Catholic Women’s League for over 60 years, sharing her talents and volunteering her time, skills, and energy. We take comfort knowing, through her faith that she has been reunited with her Saviour in Heaven.
Special thank you to the staff at Ridgeview Long Term Care Home (Sarah Calder wing) for caring for Marie with dignity over the last year.
Visitation will take place at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Thursday, November 16, 2023, from 4-8 p.m. Vigil Prayers at 7:30 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, November 17, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. Inurnment to follow at Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Cemetery, Stoney Creek.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family.
