1938-2023
Ray Edwin Foote of Saint John NB passed away peacefully on
November 7, 2023 at Tucker Hall, Shannex, Saint John. Born in Kings
County, Nova Scotia on September 17, 1938, he was a son of the late
Ralph and Mildred (Balsor) Foote.
Ray is survived by his sons: Peter (Erina), Jeoff (Deana) and
Chris (Kim); grandchildren: Madalynn, Chadia, Erik, Megan and Page;
sister: Ruth (Jim); and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In
addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife: Elaine;
sisters: Carrie and Olive; and by brothers: Murray and
Gerald.
Prior to retirement, Ray spent 40 years working at the Port
of Saint John. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed both hunting and
fishing. In his spare time, he enjoyed being in the company of his
family and friends.
As keeping with Ray’s wishes there will be no
visiting. A graveside service will be held at a later date in the
spring. In his memory, donations to a charity of the donor’s
choice would be appreciated by the family.
