It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Lucia peacefully at home, surrounded by her family on November 13th 2023 at the age of 84. Devoted wife of late Michele. Loving mother of Frank (Susan), Peter (Claudette), Angelo, Giuseppe (Sandra) and Tony. Cherished Nonna to Michael (Patricia), Angelo Jr., the late Christopher (Daniela), Amy, Joshua (Racheal), Lianna, Alisha (Chris), and Julia (Austin). Beloved Bisnonna to Julian and Lucianne. Dear sister-in-law to Angela Borreggine, Lucrezia and Riziero Tesone, Vincenzo and Carmella Fortunato and predeceased by in-laws Victorio Borreggine, Armando and Rosa Carelli, Peppino and Ida Gallo, Franco and Palma Gargaro. Forever remembered by many nieces and nephews and friends. Special thanks to the Bayshore nurses, especially Erin and Deidra for their wonderful care and compassion. Friends will be received at P.X. DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 796 Upper Gage Ave. (between Mohawk and Fennell) on Wednesday November 15th 2023 from 4-8 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church, Hamilton on Thursday November 16th at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Gate of Heaven Catholic Cemetery, Burlington.
