It is with broken hearts we announce the passing of Patricia (Trish) Gaskin at the young age of 67. She died peacefully surrounded by her loving family at the Brockville General Hospital on Friday, November 3, 2023 after a courageous 4 year battle with cancer.
Trish was the daughter of the late Henry and Anne Miller, and the dear daughter-in-law of the late Les and Beryle Gaskin. She is survived by her devoted husband Russ, her beloved children Katie Souder (Nick) and Andrew Gaskin (Kate), her precious grandchildren Emma and Jack Souder and her dear sister Marianne Miller (the late Bill Garvin).
Trish was born in Ottawa, but spent the majority of her life in Brockville where she loved to entertain and spend time with her close knit group of friends who have been a tremendous support throughout her illness. Trish loved to travel, spend time on the River, and was an avid gardener; but above all, she loved to spend time with her family and beloved pets.
The family would like to extend sincere gratitude to Dr. Marcus Butler and the team at Princess Margaret Cancer Center, the local Bayshore Palliative Care team, and the doctors and nurses of the Palliative Care Unit at the Brockville General Hospital for their kind and compassionate care.
Following a private funeral, the family invites you to a celebration of Trish’s life on Sunday, November 19th from 1-4PM at the home of Katie & Nick Souder, 45 Fairway Cres., Brockville.
As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Princess Margaret Cancer Center or the Brockville General Hospital Foundation Palliative Care Unit will be gratefully accepted though the Irvine Funeral Home, 4 James Street East, Brockville.
