HAGENS, Sherman Eugene – 80 of Shelburne. It is with heavy hearts we acknowledge the peaceful passing of Sherman at home. Sherman was born in Shelburne, to the late Stinson and Pauline Hagens.
Sherman was a very simple man and lived a very simple life. He is described by those who knew him as a “kind soul” and his friends referred to him as a “legend”. Sherman had a love for music and in his younger years could be found “cutting a rug” or two. Sherman had a special love for children and would light up when he saw his great grandchildren or his friends grandchildren, always leaving them with treat money in their pockets.
Sherman will be missed by his daughter Wendy, granddaughter Tiffany and grandson Jeremy. He also leaves behind Jeanie, who was like a sister and her partner Russel who made sure he always had everything he needed.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Huskilson’s Funeral Home, Shelburne. In lieu of a service the family will have a gathering in warmer weather to remember, share stories and have one last cheers in his honour.
