Judith Ann Scott Campbell passed away at West Parry Sound Health Centre Wednesday November 1, 2023, in her 70th year.
Beloved wife of Terry Campbell, loving mother to Bobbi-Jo Henry (Brian) and Phillip Campbell (Melissa Austria). Adoring grandmother to Trayvon and Kiara Henry. Predeceased by her parents Ernie and Jean Dicks.
Born December 14, 1953, Judi lived in Scarborough until 1967 then moved to Foots Bay at age 14. She had a love for all genres of music and became the drummer of a band that performed at the Woodmans Inn in Mactier.
Judi raced sponsored snowmobiles when it wasn’t normal for women to do so. She was considered revolutionary.
In 1969 Judi met the love of her life, Terry and they enjoyed 51 years of marriage together.
In 1970 Judi started her career at West Parry Sound Health Centre in the Finance Department, eventually becoming the Executive Assistant to the CEO. Judi took pride in her role assisting three CEO’s during her tenure and retired in 2014. She was deeply valued and well respected by her peers within the organization.
Judi liked to dance and have fun, she valued her family and friends immensely. She was fascinated by Polar Bears and was often caught spoiling the family dogs, Bella, Duke, Nala and Tucker.
Her vibrant presence will be missed by all who were blessed to know and love her.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Pulmonary Function Testing Lab at West Parry Sound Health Centre would be appreciated. Cremation has taken place. Friends and family will be received at the Torrance Funeral Home on Saturday November 18, 2023 for visitation from 12 pm – 2 pm. The funeral service will follow at 2 pm.
