Mr. William (Bill) Wowniar of High River, Alberta passed away at the High River Hospital on October 31, 2023 at the age of 78 years. Bill is survived by his loving wife Clare; children Trevor Wowniar (Leona), daughter Tamara Mago (Jeffrey), Grand children Malaya, Kira, Tyler and Mia. Bill was predeceased by his parents Nick and Katherine Wowniar, step father John Lupul; his sister Pearl Letwin, step brothers Victor and Walter Lupul.
Bill was born in Lamont Alberta, he graduated from Archbishop O’leary High School in Edmonton. He married Clare his wife of 55 years in 1968. They moved to Calgary in 1977, then back to Edmonton in 1990. They have called High River home for the last 18 years. The majority of Bills career was spent in sales in exterior home renovations.
Bill was always passionate about cooking and entertaining for his family and friends. He was most famous for his Caesar salad and T-bone steaks. His love for his family and spending time watching his four amazing grand children learn, grow and compete in dance, hockey and softball was his greatest pride.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Monday, November 6th at 4:00 p.m. at St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church in High River.
