Catherine “Kay” Perry
Kay Perry, 100 of Moncton, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 24, 2023 at The Moncton Hospital. Born in Daniel’s Harbour Newfoundland, she was the daughter of the late Norman and Cora (Verge) Perry. Kay worked with Moirs Chocolate in Halifax for her working career, she retired as an inspector of the Candy Packing division.
Kay was a very spiritual person, a devoted follower of Christ and a faithful member of His church throughout her life. She attended St. James Anglican Church in Moncton where she was involved in the day to day activities of the life of the church as well as the Altar Guild, ACW and fundraising events. She also supported Holy Cross Anglican Church in Daniel’s Harbour, NL. Kay loved to sew, crochet and knit. She did many projects for family and friends as well she knitted many Prayer Shawls for the Prayer Shawl ministry at St. James. She loved her garden and was always anxious for the plants to start growing in the spring so she could dig them to pot for the annual plant sale at St. James. If you ask Kay what was most important to her she would say Her Family and Her Church. She was totally devoted to both.
Kay is survived by her sister Loretta Laventure (late Boyd), Moncton NB; brother Brinkley Perry (Beatrice) of Daniel’s Harbour NL; and many nieces and nephews.
Aside from her parents, Kay was predeceased by her bothers Howard (Winnie), Curtis (Myra), and infant brother Richard, and sister Faye (Des) Sonley.

A funeral service will be held in Daniel’s Harbour Newfoundland at a later date, Interment will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery.
